I’m often “post process fiddling” with older shots when commissioned for new work in a particular style. As my upcoming commission involves a “1930’s film studio starlet” theme, I’m using post processing to get me in the mood for shooting that style.

Here’s a quick, processing in progress look of a “Natural Light & Natural Beauty” image previously seen here.

That’s really nice but that bright stripe of light on her shoulder and going down her arm, looks unnatural to me.

follow the stripe, it runs down from her head on down. I have no idea how it was there except it looks like a light source, it does not bother be one bit. I was drawn to her face and overall image.

Well I'm very happy it doesn't bother you one bit. It looks un-natural to me. Op can do as he likes.

This was a Natural Light shoot, in an old barn with lots of gaps between the vertical planks. I used some of these as light sources for this series of photographs.

Yes, I have to agree. I like the photo, but that unfortunate strip of light really is quite a distraction.

B&W is not just sades of blackness... I love my Topaz B&W2 and all the many variations of tones and levels of contrast.

I like BB4A's photo and the meaningful phrase “Natural Light & Natural Beauty”
