I found this in a mining museum in Zeehan in Tasmania (Australia) with the following information:
"Originally built for Eastman Kodak, Rochester, New York, c. 1915. It was used for block printing or possibly lithograph printing negatives, using wet plate photography (silver nitrate-gelotine with potassium cyanide iodine development) was converted for roll negative paper photo copy use (see metal section on back)."

Also in the museum was this carbon arc blue-print machine. Note explanation in the next photo.

For those tired of the pesky cellphone cameras this is inspiring equipment. As a retired Environmental/Health-Safety guy all should read how to be safe with developing chemicals; especially those with Cyanide.
https://www.uah.edu/images/administrative/facilities/oehs/documents/uahphotolab_safety_sheet_copy.pdfGoogle potassium cyanide iodine development of silver film and a world of info is there.
Thorny Devil, your photos accent how much our photo world has changed in the last 100 years... thank you for showing us.
