Although it was very windy, I took a few shots of birds on the water to determine how the lens worked in capturing them in poor conditions. I was pleased with the results.

Thanks, Barbara, I hope to get out to some of the local refuges next week, IF the weather allows.

What lens? Shutter speed? Composition is good as are the colors.

This is part of a series where I am testing the new (to me) Sony 600 f/4. These were shot at 1/200.

I noted that the edges were lacking a bit in clarity. The only time I go under the mm/shutter speed equation is on a tripod. I might also suggest some testing both on tripod and off to see what shutter speeds work the best with that glass. f-stop also plays a role. I just completed a series of daylight and shadow speed tests both on and off tripod using my Z9 with 500pF attached. Some surprises.

Thanks for the tip, Tim. The weather is beginning to clear and I might be able to get out next week.
