From Colorado National Monument in 9/22

Nice composition. Turn down blacks and shadows for a more dramatic result. Also a bit of DeHaze.
Welcome and keep shooting.

Nice. Our astronomy club in Grand Junction used the parking lot where air rescue helicopters would land, to conduct star parties. Pretty good place to get up out of the city lights.
I wanted to go out there at night and I was staying at a hotel not too far away, but I was so tired from driving around and taking pics for about 11 hours that day I couldn't trust myself to drive safely there and back at night. Getting old (77) sucks! That was two years ago when I went there. Last year in Sept. I went to Colo for 7 days and was dying to get out and take pics at night, but I lost my sister last year and it hit me so hard that I was exhausted after driving around for less than seven hours and once I got to the hotels by 4:00 I was dead to the world. When I go to Colorado I get up in the morning, have breakfast and start driving. I drive until I'm too tired to go anymore, taking pics all over the place. Rarely do I stop for lunch, maybe just at a gas station to get a snack and gas. I go to take pictures and enjoy the mountains, not to shop and look for souveniers (that's one of the advantages of going by myself
).
I loved Colorado National Monument! I went through it in the morning and then again in the afternoon. It was much different than I expected and very interesting and beautiful. I wanted to go there again last year when I left Ouray but I got diverted and didn't make it there. Maybe this year.
You were undoubtedly experiencing altitude effects coming from Texas. It will make you tired and worse the higher you go. You might try not eating a big breakfast and just have small snacks while at higher altitudes. Don't forget to drink plenty of water.
Alberio, that's undoubtedly part of it, but the main part is that I'm just old
. That, and the day I got there I had a problem with a sciatic nerve in my butt and I was taking pain-killer pills for it that knocked me out.

Wow, you sound like me. I'm also experiencing the joys of sciatica. It really is the true definition of a pain in the butt.

Agreed, nice. Another improvement would be resetting the horizontal line.
