From what I hear and read mirrorless bodies have superior low light capabilities over DSLR’s. The attachment here is from the referenced article. Also the question about AF capability.

New mirrorless are better because technology has made great advances in the last 3 years. And that goes for low light.
When DSLRs and mirrorless were what you could say contemporaries there was really no difference. But in the last 3 years DSLRs have had no new developments thus the sensors are old and each year older the worse they are compared to current mirrorless cameras.

Exactly. Having a mirror or not makes no difference in low light/high ISO performance per se, but sensor technology does. Case in Point, the 3-4 year newer Canon R5 has just slightly better low light performance than the 5D4, but it’s able to achieve that with a higher resolution sensor plus a stop better DR due to the later technology sensor.

A lot depends on the situation. My photo BFF has a Nikon D750 and a Z6. She got the D6 because when does a lot of behind-the-scenes projects for media companies and needed a silent shutter. She has told me several times that the D750 has superior low-light performance vs the Z6.

A good photograph can be made better by just buying a mirrorless camera.

Folks it is a quiz, and the answer to both questions is NO they are both wrong. If you actually believed the statements then you need the master class. The truth is just the opposite.

Cheers and best to you all.

I have no issues with my 4 year old Sony a9, perhaps the person who wrote the article is referring to OLDER mirrorless camera's, certainly not anything produced recently.

Not much of a master class if they don’t know that sensor size is the same with or without a mirror. Hope you didn’t pay for that nonsense.

Master of what class?
If newer sensors are not superior than older ones then I guess my old D30 camera's sensor is just as good as the Z9.
Prove me wrong using your master class.

A) los light perfirmance depends on sensor size and technology... Having a mirror attached or not means no difference
B) both sentences in the screenshot are absolutely wrong... Mirrorless cameras have all possible sensors, including FF and even MF, and and have phased autofocus not only contrast based one.

Those questions are a trap, beware!

Imagine the photographer you could be as soon as you give up on the mirror.

It says "take this quiz to find out". So what you are reading in the link insert are true or false statements. I think that some people need to read first, comment later.
