I have always v**ed republican because I h**e the land of freebies created by the Democrats. I just wish the Libertarian Party would gain some traction. I am s**k of the big 2 playing Political Chess with each other. Anyone else feel the same?

The Libertarian Party is none but a group of nut cases think their are living in the 1700s.

There is a lot to defend and support in Libertarian philosophy. But consider a******n- libertarian philosophy says it is OK - an individual choice. Rand Paul-opposes a******n - not a libertarian idea so he is a libertarian until the v**es are needed. I prefer his father who stuck to libertarian principals and did not cave to politics.

So according to you, a person needs to agree 100% with a particular party's platform? Is there some kind of purity test you would be satisfied with? Martin Sheen is a well known democrat but is anti a******n. Does that disqualify him from being a democrat?

That is not the issue. A******n is a personal choice and libertarian philosophy endorses that position. Rand Paul did endorse that for years until it became politically expedient to abandon the libertarian philosophy and suddenly he is anti-a******n. That is political expediency and indicates the softness of his adherence to libertarian values.

No that is 100% the issue. You basically stated that Rand Paul is not a true libertarian because he is anti a******n.
