This is the type of question that looks like someone asked it just to get attention. However, I've seen it asked more than once online and in print.
"When we look in a mirror, left and right are reversed. Why aren't up and down reversed?"
The answer is obvious, so you don't have to explain it to us.
This reminds me of the woman who called a radio station and seriously suggested that they move Deer Crossing signs to places with less traffic.

Well when you look into the mirror nothing is reversed. Top is on top, bottom is at the bottom, right is on the right and left is on the left.

Yes, the hand is on the right side of the mirror, but that other Jerry, the one in the mirror, is raising his left hand.
