Close. But too bright, and the colors are absent.

At least you got a break in the clouds. I can't seem to.
I get these various clouds from wispy to cottonballs messing me up.
My equipment is working great with N.I.N.A., but the sky here is being such a pill!

Keep after it!

It's that time of the year for us. So frustrating at times.

One of my better moments from a couple of years ago.
According to my files, this is 30 ea. 300 second exposures (300s = 5 minutes each) (total: 9000 seconds).
I took the images with my Atik Infinity OSC (one shot color) camera.

Do to my incredibly hard learning curve from when I began, I bought inexpensive equipment, then used it to death.
When I replaced anything I replaced it with much better.
A great Friend loaned me his Atik Infinity OSC, then sold it to me for a song. It was the most encouraging and helpful thing ever to keep me in this sport.
But I have not found a way to get the Infinity to work properly with NINA. I wish so that I could, because I have an ASI 1600 MM Pro, but I've been struggling for years now to figure out how to colorize the results.
But mostly I enjoy the process, and getting something in my imaging. I was shooting Narrowband last night, but discovered too late the images (10 minutes long) were not being stored in my thumb drive. By that time, I just let the sequence run out to see if NINA would park the scope. It did, but aimed dead South.
I have discovered an amazing amount of patience with Astrophotography.
But I'm almost where I dreamed of being about a decade ago. Fully automated. NINA has made everything easier.
Getting everything working was a giant pain, But, I'm nearly there.
Just a few more pounds of patience.

I agree with Forrest Tanaka, this is the most challenging and frustrating form of Photography there is. But also the most rewarding.
