I suggest taking a look at Julianne Kost's blog (https://jkost.com/blog/photoshop-training-videos). She has plenty of free tutorials. Make sure you look for the right Lightroom product. There are significant differences Lightroom (Lr) and Lightroom Classic (LrC).

If your purchase Lightroom through Adobe there are wonderful tutorials to walk you through the basics and some more advanced editing tips. Also YouTube is loaded with instructional videos.

"What is the best way to learn ...."

Some learn from books. There are good ones. Others are more "visual".

For me, computer programs need visual. I also need an organized course. Random works to improve skills after I have the basics mastered.

My current favorite is Matt Kloskowski. You pay for his courses. They are installed on your computer so you don't need an internet connection.

If I had not already paid for Matt's, I would strongly consider Theresa Jackson's course on LinkedIn Learning. You can get a first month free or use a local library for access. https://www.linkedin.com/learning/lightroom-classic-essential-training/using-the-exercise-files?autoSkip=true&autoplay=true&resume=false

Other well known paid expert teachers are Scott Kelby and Tim Grey.

No cost experts are Anthony Morganti, Terry White and Julianne Kost.

Victoria Brampton has a good book.

Wow, you really are a great resource on your own. So many wonderful people to check out. Both visual and non-visual sources to choose from. I was wondering how much Matt Kloskowski charges and how do I contact him if I decide to go that route? Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks for the resource compliment! It appears I will be soon "teaching" a Lightroom class in our retirement community.

His "Lightroom System" course is "on sale" for $99.

There are a ton of free resources out there including YouTube videos. But with Adobe Creative Cloud subscription you have all the tutorials you need at your fingertips.

The Lightroom online tutorials help but don’t limit yourself to the editing. Check out the organization features as well. They are an important and useful tool.

There are tons for free training videos on utube. The Adobe subscription gives access to training videos from Adobe.com, in the Support / Learning section. Exhaust the training you've paid for in the subscription, and everything free on utube, before paying another penny on LR training. Start with "Lightroom getting started" results.

I have difficulty with learning most things. I respond to rote learning, a stern teacher and a blackboard best.

For me, it has to be a book or a twin screen set up with the second screen effectively taking the place of the book. Swapping between images is a pain for me, I lose track of what I should be doing almost immediately.

Google any question and you will get lots of information to answer your question.
Lightroom also has tutorials you can access on line or right from their site.

Agree with Tom Hackett. Ms. Kost does wonderful video training. Also Check the Adobe web site. Consider Jeff Schewe's two books (although somewhat old the basics haven't changed): The Digital Negative and The Digital Print will get you grounded in the most basic elements of Lightroom Classic. The building blocks.

If you want to stress yourself look into a pure LrC seminar from Seth Resnick - but be prepared to work your tail off.

I highly recommend Matt Koslowski as well. He is very knowledgeable, organized, goes at a reasonable pace, and personable as well.
