I googled 'Wolf Spider' and was shown five or six pictures, all different looking. One had big fuzzy legs, another had spindly legs etc. The one with spindly legs looks a lot like yours. Let him bite you and see what happenes. :)

Great Macros

Wolf spiders have a unique eye arrangement: a total of eight eyes, with four small eyes in a row on the bottom, two larger eyes above them, and two medium-sized eyes in a top row. They're also unique among spiders in that females carry their eggs in egg sacs attached to the back of their abdomens. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_spider

Great shots Scott - I'm not lover of spiders, so you may call me squeamish. We have a huntsman running around our home. I've tried to grab a photo, but it's not that easy as the thing keeps on moving, I mean running! So I take my hat off to for having been able to capture these great shots. Great shots Scott! I'm surprised you got that close and he/she didn't try to attack you! The only Wolf Spider (think it was a Wolf Spider) I have seen was very aggressive (probably a female) and anytime I got too close would go into attack mode! That was before I got into Macro! :-) Scared the x**&%** out of me!!

Nice shots. Most likely your agressive spider was in a protective mode.

Great Macro photo. Excellent detail of a face only a mom could love.

Nice set. You just never know when a photo op is going to happen do you? I really don't want one in the bathroom. For some reason, spiders in the bathroom freak me out.

Isn't it amazing that shooting macro causes us to grab the camera instead of the fly swatter.
