Photoshop V24.3 Problem
I am LR/Photoshop subscriber for last several years, and normally update versions when they become available. But about a week ago when I upgraded from V 24.2.1 to the current version 24.3 the update seemed to complete normally. But as soon as I tried to open any previously created JPEG the the section where I would normally would see my JPEG I see a continuously flashing white screen instead of my photo.
Tried contacting Adobe but was unable to contact a live person. Finally wound up deleting the the new version 24.3 and re-installing the previous v 24.2.1 Now everything works again. Has anyone experienced this before and how did you resolve the issue?

My system details are
Dell OptiPlex 9020 DeskTop PC
Windows 10 64bit System
Geforce NVIDIA Graphics Card

I have no problem with PS 24.3 on Apple M1 Ultra Chip in Mac Studio. Absolutely no occurrences of what you describe and I have been editing Antarctic images 8+ hours a day for the last week.

Were you trying to contact Adobe via text or phone? I have used their phone support several times and have always been able to talk to a real person and get my problem solved. I think that is your best bet to keep trying them.

Beware of Adobe phone support. I used them recently and the idiot wanted to start changing all sorts of permissions on my Mac Studio without any commentary. I stopped him and after a couple of hours simply did a uninstall and reinstall and it solved the issue.

And then he called me 4 days later and wanted to know how he faired. Not a good conversation to say the least.

I had the same flashing white screen last night while attempting to open 2 different PNG files. I needed to do just a couple of edits quickly so I did them in Affinity instead. I'll investigate further this weekend.

I found the same issue on my Windows PC computer, but not on my Mac. The issue is related to the graphics card. Fortunately, the fix is simple. Go to Edit->Preferences->Performance, then uncheck the "Use Graphics Processor" box.

I dread Photoshop updates. Something always causes difficulties with the program and you have to waste time finding the remedy. I had the same thing happen with this update. Went through the Photoshop help group threads to find the solution. As Dave T stated above that was the solution also to my problem. According to the thread history, this problem has been occurring since the late 2020's to the early 2021's. It is a issue with your graphics card the age and the manufacturer.

That's not a solution, that's a quick and dirty work around.

I had that same problem and did a google search on it, found a correction, and it worked. Didn’t write down the instructions and can’t remember them, but they were pretty easy and worked.

I had the same problem and re-installed the prior version which corrected the issue. Then I noticed Photoshop stated that my graphics card needed updating. Once I did that I tried to install v 24.3 again and stall had the same problem.. I am now back to the prior version.

My system is a Windows 10 with a Nvidia GeFource GT 710 graphics card. From everything I am reading here, the problem is Adobe's updated has a conflict with the graphic card.

I think I will go back the other version and wait for a fix. I get my card is out of memory and needs an up grade.
I have PC with windows 11.
