Actually it's 50.8 mm, but Canadians already knew that.

While I don't wish tragedy on anyone, I really wait for the day one of the UHH 2A pro-gun zealots loses a child (or grandchild!) to a senseless mass shooting. Will they then change their tune and stop making the ridiculous arguments that they do?

Zero guns = zero gun deaths. Not a practical solution, but a fact. So why would fewer guns not lead to fewer gun deaths?

As for knives, there are legal limits on them as well. That does not mean smaller legal knives won't be used to k**l people, but the likelihood of distant standoff mass k*****gs is certainly less for knives.

Then we hear about banning automobiles because they k**l people. What a stupid argument!!!! I won't even bother explaining why, because if you make that argument you are not smart enough to understand the absurdity of the comparison.

The cartels are being supplied their AR's and other firearms by gun manufacturers in the United States.
But hey, The only thing that can stop a bad cartel with a gun is a badder cartel with a gun.
Nice to know tha the Trumpanzees support the cartel's right to carry a firearm.

Apparently, Leatherman tools are the most dangerous weapon known to man.
I will never forget once being, in a Social Security Office and told to take my Leatherman out and leave in the car.
I had been in the office for 20 min or so waiting to be seen. The place was packed as a lady and an elderly
man came in and needed a seat. I got up and offered mine. That's when the security person saw my Leatherman
on my belt and pounced. I told him that I work in a federal building and wear it all the time there. he said, "But that is a tool you work with." I took it out and put it in my vehicle.
Afterward, while I was still waiting a man came into the office with a big walking stick and a satchel over his shoulder
that looked very much like a C4 bag. He took a seat and nothing was ever said by the security officer.
I did ask the security guy if he wanted me to leave my nail clips in the car also!

Actually it was obummer providing the firearms to the cartel in hopes that the mayhem would force the confiscation of firearms.
Sadly a border patrol officer was k**led by the obummer supplied firearm and not the mayhem obummer was hoping for.
No prosecution of obummer for the murder as the person behind supplying the weapon that committed the murder to the murderer.

Zealots probably WON’T alter their particular mindset. They would be upset there was not an armed person (a “protector”) on scene to potentially stop an armed intrusive shooter in a “gun free zone”.

And many persons would agree with them!

Just one (of many) examples of law abiding, armed citizens acting to protect others (from the BBC, no less) is:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-62217263
And there are many more documented examples of armed citizens preventing potential armed conflict(s).

One of the most serious problems is (and has been) the legalization of “Gun Free Zones” at churches and other public locations. These are where demented individuals know they may go with little chance of anyone resisting or stopping wh**ever plans they might have.

And there are ample (too many!) instances of people using vehicles to mow down and k**l persons. So maybe some restrictions on vehicles could or would be a GOOD thing.

So AGAIN it is a question of violence being a PEOPLE problem — not an inanimate object (gun) problem.

Why, not autos?
Over 10K drunk driver deaths in 2022.
It is illegal to drive drunk yet every 45 minutes a person is k**led involving drunk driving. Source National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
It is increasing by 8%every 5 years.
Yet cars are heavily regulated, licensed and driving drunk is against the law.
How is that working out?
Knives k**l about 1,600 people per year.
About 500 per year by hands.
Over 70K deaths from illegal f******l in 2021.
Over 106K deaths by illegal drugs in 2021.
There should be no drunk driving deaths or drug deaths because the government has declared those to be illegal. If I remember that there is also a so called aggressive government policy of confiscating drugs.
How's that working out?

The news is reporting that this afternoon, a man was stabbed to death in front of his wife and daughter while standing in a Vancouver Starbuck’s. It’s time to ban all sharp objects in Canada immediately, and make everyone who needs a knife to go through an extensive background check before they’re allowed to purchase them. The Royal Mounted Police decried the attack, and said this insanity needs to stop. Trudeau the prissy was asked about it, but he was too busy putting on black face to respond.

Wait a minute here...that doesn't seem possible since Canada has strict laws against weapons and especially murder. Can it possibly be???

That sounds like a great idea. After all we know knives were first designed to be weapons of war and then people thought to themselves, Hey, I could cut up carrots with this.

So what is your solution to the problem... or perhaps you don't see a problem????

You cannot outlaw every possible instrument that can be used to cause harm. But guns have NO OTHER USEFUL PURPOSE THAN K*****G!!!

John, John, John, we have been over this probably 100's of times and yet you simply refuse to understand, probably due to your Socialist upbringing in Canada. You TELL us guns have no other useful purpose than k*****g but you tend to forget the many uses a number of us have already pointed out, target shooting, (an Olympic Sport), self defense away from the home, home protection, plinking, hunting animals for food, relaxation as a hobby etc. You know these things but refuse to accept the experience of other people simply because YOU may not enjoy these things. But I do as do millions upon millions of others across the planet. Because you don't like firearms, don't use firearms you tend to think others MUST share your viewpoints.

You live in a different country than America John. Oh yes you say you have visited here but don't live here. America was founded upon freedom from an oppressor government, England. Your country started out the same way but has remained pretty much going along with the English ways. Stay in Canada where you do not have the rights as Americans do, where the government tells you what to do and you must do it. But in America it is citizens just like me and millions of others who gets to tell the government what to do by means of a representative in Congress. We have a Constitution that gives us that power as well as Amendments to guarantee our freedoms. Yet it is the Democratic Party that is doing its best to take away those rights guaranteed by the Constitution, to try to make America as it is in Canada where the government is in charge. So then even IF firearms were only developed to k**l that still makes our 2nd Amendment king because of our heritage of trashing anything BRITISH when we sent them packing back in 1776. The acceptance of the 2nd Amendment was decided positively in 1789 as needed to keep America free from another oppressive government.

Have a wonderful day now my BFF,

Dennis
