Indeed I know how you feel? What's that bright think in the sky? It hurts my eyes. But what a great day for a hike and everything is green!

For those who live outside of Ca, for the mid and southern parts of the state, it is green in the winter & spring and them everything turns brown in the summer.

I used to kid my relatives back east about living in CA where we only had two seasons; green, and brown. Then we moved to AZ where I feel one…brown.

Most people think of California as having two seasons, but the state has many varied habitats. There are places that are very green all year round. Also places that get lots of snow in the winter. It is one of the very few, if not only state that has habitats ranging from desert to almost temperate rainforest... and everything in between.
