Sunshine today and a high of 45! Took advantage of that and went for a hike to Stanton Lake in the Great Bear Wilderness. Trail is a popular one amongst locals and you gain almost 700 ft in elevation within the first quarter mile....it's steep! But then levels off for a mile or so then you drop back down to the lake. It's only 2 miles to the lake but oh what a beautiful hike thru the forest and the views of the mountains are amazing!
We have fished (cutthroat trout) and archery hunted in this area for elk, taken a few out of this area in the past.
Very nice set Cindy! Well done.

I have been admiring all these posts for the gorgeous blues and whites. You have such clean air up there and it makes a big difference in your pictures. I do not always like the compositions but I sure like the colors and sharpness. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful set of images, Cindy!
Beautiful, Cindy. Your hikes are always great photo ops.
