One more. I found a little humor in this. Adak is a small island 1200 miles west of Anchorage at the end of the Aleutian Islands. Was there once on business. Loved it. Lots of American Eagles there as well.

Some of these were shot years ago on film, others are much newer.
The last couple are the same tree at different times of year. It's a Jacaranda tree outside the local Starbucks. It blooms in the fall and loses its leaves in the spring. I understand this is because it's originally from S. Africa, where the seasons are the opposite they are here in Calif.
