NJ and NCAA Basketball:

Princeton, with an elite reputation for academic excellence and a student body of 5500, made it to the Sweet Sixteen yesterday by defeating heavily favored Missouri.
Today the Princeton women will attempt to accomplish the same. Also today, Fairleigh Dickinson University will play for the Sweet Sixteen. A new coach, Tobin Anderson will lead his young and "short" (shortest team in the men's division of of the NCAA tournament) team for the Sweet Sixteen.

Go Princeton men & women!
Go FDU!

I'm a Northwestern alum, and while they lost in the round of 32 last night, they had a season far beyond expectations. (The media writers who didn't pick them 13th in the conference picked them 14th, they finished in 2nd place and were a 7 seed.)

I'm hoping to see both FDU and Princeton advance further.

Northwestern was one of several teams in the Big Ten who beat Purdue during the regular season.

Year in and year out, it's a difficult conference. Even in football you don't know who's gonna come up and bite ya.

FDU left a lot of people in Indiana crying! As Butler can also attest, small schools can accomplish big things.

Never heard of FDU until "the game." I hope they get to the final four.

Go FDU sound dirty. I went to NCE in Newark. No football. No basketball. No sport teams at all. Just Rutgers down the street. They had girls and we had none. Actually I believe we had several.

I also went to Steven's University, Montclair University, Newark State, Gettysburg College, Monmouth University, two degrees plus another 30 credits from FDU and all while working a full time job.

Thanks,
Mark
