I agree totally with your opinion. To try to answer your question: Consider, this - they've been performing for about 20 years, since 2005. Chole Agnew started when she was 14. What job did you have when you were 14? How long did you stay at that job. I don't find a 2023 tour schedule & I don't remember the exact numbers, but a recent ~60 day tour for them included 50+ concerts. People get burned out, their goals change, people decide that family comes first, many many reasons to change a career path. IMHO, of course.
