It's possible that the bank pay the tax in hope of getting the interest payment.

Whoever pays it, you know "many" people carry a balance on their cards, so B&H or the bank are not losing money.

We don’t have a sale s tax in Oregon so none is ever charged to me even without the card. I like it.

I found it a bit humorous when they rejected my application. I have a credit score of 833 and pay off my cards each month. I think they're hoping for people to make time payments and reject those who don't.

You know they changed who services them. 833 and rejected?
You have something going on.
I have similiar score, no loans or recurring debt and one other credit card. As they say, "what's in your wallet.
You have something g you are n I t disclosing. I pay off my card monthly.
I always get a statement but I pay it off the next week

That is the first time I've ever heard of this payment restriction. I always pay this card online electronically and show payment receipt confirmation immediately. If they were to say it's a late payment and charge late fees, I could prove payment before due date, regardless of the banking rigamorale. Besides, the debit on my bank statements are always dated within a working day of my payment date.

Is it possible your bank was set up to do your payouts via hard check? I have clients that have bank checks mailed to me for invoices, sometimes different clients, same bank with checks from each in the same envelope.
That is the first time I've ever heard of this pay... (show quote)

Has anyone recently used the new PAYBOO Card from B&H when making a purchase? Is the tax immediately credited to your purchase or is this just a credit against future purchases? What are the Pro's & Con's of using this method of payment? And do you find it worth opening a new credit card?

I'm not sure. They sent me one and I never activated it or used it. Last week they sent me a email stating that they are cancelling the card and reporting that to the credit bureau. That will drop my score at least 15 points. I personally think it is wrong since I never activated the card.

Amazon did almost the same thing to me about 3 weeks ago due to lack of use. They did say it would likely drop my rating, but subsequent repots showed a 3 point drop. My score is up and down a few points every month, so there is nothing conclusive in my situation.

"Fabricating a false narrative"? You mean lying. I was denied a card with an excellent credit rating, so you are calling me a liar. How can you know that never happened to anyone? It was early on in the program, and it was a different bank than the one they use now. I haven't tried with the bank they use now.

I agree with JohnSwanda. Questioning our veracity is as inappropriate as it is wrong on a factual basis. Like Sidewalk, I have no debt and pay off my cards monthly. I have a service that monitors my credit and notifies me if it changes. Over the years it has changed little. When you have no knowledge of events, withhold your judgement.

You get a credit at the purchased time. No questions asked

They sent you a new one with the new bank. You must have had the older one

B&H, how can anybody do better. I recently bought an Godox AD 600 pro at a reduced price about a week after it arrived, I found it on their website at an even lower price .
One phone call later I had a refund.
They are the Gold Standard.

The only reasons anyone should use a payboo card is, avoiding sales tax or they have no other choice. With a 28 day billing cycle and 30 percent interest, payboo is little more than a legal scam.

The special financing option is zero interest on items over $199 for six months or twelve months for amounts over $599. So... for example, if you want a Z9 and choose special financing, you pay the sales tax but get free financing for a year. You'll save whatever the difference between zero and the rate on your next best card if you need the financing. Still not too shabby.

Pay in full: no tax, no interest.
