Southwest Harbor

Much of Acadia National park is on Mount Desert Island, but there are parts of that island that are outside of the park. One such area is Southwest Harbor - a name that refers to a harbor, but also to a town on that harbor. Here as a few pictures I took down there just a few days ago.

Nice images. I live in Southwest Harbor. Several of your images are actually in ANP (#1 is at Seawall & #5 is at Long Pond, both parts of ANP).
I spend many mornings at Seawall catching sunrises and long exposures.

Yes, it's sometimes hard to know when you are in the park and when you are not. In particular, Long Pond is marked as the reservoir, supplying the water for Southwest Harbor; I was watching for signs on the drive down to it and never saw any indication I was entering the park. #6 is at Long Pond as well.
