Any doubt where the name stilt comes from?

Shot at the Riverwalk Parkway in Riverside, CA last Tuesday just before 3 PM. This is a heavy crop from a much wider frame.

R7, 100-500L @ 324 mm, 1/800 @ f/8.0, ISO-250
hand held at a bit less than 63'.

Great picture. I love the fact that the bird is able to hide the second leg, which is surely as long as the one it is standing on!

Thanks, notice the wing is a little low to help cover the other leg among the belly feathers.
