A fun time to be enjoyed by many.
A long time ago visit to Kings Mountain, SC\NC, spent about a half hour with a family representing the "contraband". It was both informative and enjoyable.

It is. And it has been happening for 50 years! It is the largest Rendezvous in the Southeast and maybe the nation.it is held every January near Bartow, Florida. It is in a tiny town called Homeland on over 1600 acres. It is called the Alafia River Rendezvous and is a pre 1840 event put on by the Florida Frontiersmen and they have a website and Facebook page. I have participated in14 of these primitive pre 1840 campouts. There are public days every year, and they are the last weekends of the event. It is a wonderful opportunity to practice Photography. Of course I hide mine in a basket, because my Canon camera is NOT pre 1840.

Thanks for looking! I love the music, and all the public days activities. I also missed 4 years but actually have participated in this event 14 times. So many great memories.
