Petra By Night
Very difficult to get a photograph here without people. We were first in line to enter for the nighttime candle lit event. I hustled through the 1 mile Siq and grabbed a seat in the front row and made this shot right away. Soon the place was full of people sitting on the rugs in between the luminaria shining their cell phones and taking flash pictures, and the possibility of getting a shot without people had vanished. I have a couple of other shots from this moment that I will process and post soon. BTW the façade of the "Treasury" is illuminated solely by candle light in this image.

Nothing wrong with people adding character and scale to a photo.

Architect, yes i agree as long as it enhances the photo. One or 2 people to give scale and balance can be very effective but swarms of people with cell phones lit up don't add to the photo. In this case it was one or the other

Absolutely beautiful at night, I only have daytime images. I wish you had taken a vertical image and recorded the whole treasury. But still as is it is beautiful.
