Focus Stacked Image of a Purple Dead Nettle

Although there are officially twelve more days until Spring, there is evidence that Mother Nature has started to awaken. The purple dead nettles always seem to be the first to display their color and so I picked one of the hundreds that dot our yard and staged it for a focus stacked session with a reverse-mounted 50mm enlarger lens mounted on bellows.

I've included one taken from a past summer that has a small black ant crawling on it for a comparison of the size of these tiny blossoms.

Thanks, Curmudgeon. I included the image of the purple dead nettle with the ant to illustrate how tiny those little blossoms are. The first image is taken at 3X magnification.
