This park was established in 1964. The formations are the result of various layers of rock and sediment being eroded by wind and rain. The resulting shapes are unique. Many are still relatively soft and being formed. The park is different in that visitors are allowed to walk throughout the area. Drones may operate after purchase of a permit ($10) and it is a Dark Sky location.
This set is from a short stop on our tour's drive from Canyonlands to Bryce. The day was overcast, but you can still see the color and texture variations. I left people in some shots to provide scale.
