Nobody ever said you have to be smart to be a politician. Best example of a true politician is " honest George Santos ", he has all the right qualifications. To many to list here.

That is a ridiculous statement. The Constitution has very little to do with e******y or equity. And the Declaration of Independence was pretty much a lie when it came to either of those concepts.

I read the article. I'm sure Maher could have gotten to the bottom of Sanders position without getting tripped up on definitions.

I think that was the whole point, that Sanders didn't understand the difference between the two terms, being the big socialist that he is and the term equity is the favorite new word of the left.

One just has to look at the current Administration's cabinet to figure out that they adore the concept of equity. It's much like opening a phone book (that certainly dates me) and picking names. Of course, this phone book has to be subdivided into groups such as: t***s, q***r, black, female, lesbian,Hispanic, white, Asian, male, etc. And then each group will be again subdivided so everyone has the same chance of being our Secretary Of Homeland Security. And that, folks, is how we got said Secretary who looks at our southern border with an endless line of i******s wading across and declares the border to be closed.

Maybe so. Maybe so. But it is the only “rag” we have. And it is far better, with it’s checks, balances and restriction, than the governing documents of many other countries (such as Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Italy, Greece, Russia, China, etcetera.)
If the Constitution and it’s restrictions upon the powers are not understood or appreciated, persons are free (and encouraged) to renounce their citizenship and emigrate elsewhere.
