All Day She Faced The Barren Waste....
...without the taste - well, you get the idea. She seems to be arriving home safely though or we couldn't have got the snap! The lady is not a model (at least, not when I took this) but was riding in a camel race for the first time. Here she was leading a couple of them around the show arena. Background is created in Ps, as you guessed. I have used the image previously as part of another post entitled something along the lines 'Pre-Raphaelite meets Orientalist', a while ago. She formed the view outside a tent. Anyway, if you have the time your critique will be appreciated, as always.
Manager note: Magnetoman figured out his previous issue with red, so I replaced his original image with this one, and changed opening remarks.

Nice fun image. It looks to me that the subjects aren't "grounded." It's interesting about the red shift. I notice it too on some of my composites but never on straight photographs.

Take your point Jack, the image is losing something in posting.
I discovered it's not the upload that's the problem - it's the conversion to sRGB on my computer during export. I've used a workaround, a different method to achieve the sRGB version - saved a copy as a jpeg then used ‘Convert to Profile’ sRGB. I think I've succeeded in holding the colour as intended, so here it is.
Fantastic! And wowsa, what a difference. I'm thinking I like this a lot now, Dave
I added the corrected image to your opening. Let me know if there is any other change you want to put in opening comments that I haven't already done.

Thanks for your help Linda, it’s much appreciated. No idea why Export can’t handle this one, it works other times!
That was a great hit song... Ol Dan and me could see a big green tree and cool clear water...
magnetoman, your photo sets the mood.
I too like Curmudgeon (Jack) get the same sense as if they are not grounded. I think it is about the woman and the camel's one leg. I realize he is in stride.
I do like the background treatment.

Thanks Don - Franky Laine if memory serves?

Yes, his leg is picked-up but the footprint looks at one with the leg and not grounded. Must confess I didn’t bother too much about the lady - think I was getting bored by then!
Thanks for commenting Frank, I must try to remain focused!!
Ethereal result! I agree with Jack on the feet.
