Here are a couple photos from my recent trip to Greece. The first are ancient steps preserved in an archaeological site below the entrance to the Acropolis Museum in Athens. The second steps are harder to see. They're in the far right of this photo and they're one way to get from the sea shore to a town in Santorini. I took the easier way: a cable car.

P. 1 Nice stairs pictures. I wonder how many steps there are in the stairs on the cliffs? That would be a good workout for just about any body.

Great Challenge! Been waiting for a use for my stair images!
1st is a double decker bus staircase in Detroit.
2nd and 4th are in Venice, Italy
3rd is at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, MI
4th is Barrow, Alaska
5th is Lexington, VA
6th is Catwalk above Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI

P. 1 Quite the collection of stair pictures. You must not be afraid of heights to take #1. #2 - Never considered getting boats into the water with stairs. Makes sense.

I obviously played around with these first two images. They are from an abandoned school in my city. This should be a good challenge that I've not seen here.

Nice artsy pictures of stairs.

Lots of stairs in Bali, Indonesia. I did this trip about 14 years ago, don't think I could handle the stairs now with my creaky knees.

That's a lot of stairs/steps to climb. I know I couldn't do it. And going down is as painful as going up.

This could be a challenge for me for sure. These are great examples and good explanation. I'll have to look hard for some.

I am confident that once you start looking, you'll find ones you've never noticed before.

Thanks, Bill, for a super challenge last week and to Larry for another Free Sunday.

This week's challenge is all about stairs/staircases/ladders etc. I'm not sure we've ever had this topic before, so "step" right up (or down) and find us some stairs to climb - or descend.

I'll start with some stone steps - the first two are in an old fort and the 3rd is a long stairway to an historic area church.

Thanks for the challenge, Pat, nice start. Hope I can find some.

Oh yeah, I used to sell, engineer them and make them. I knew I had some.

Leek,
I hate heights! Weird thing is I love hot air ballooning. Go figure. Boats and stairs don’t get a long. I thought that was a bit unusual. Must be a ride thing.
