That's ok. In two years we'll re-take the Senate. After four years of Obamacare, we'll re-take the Presidency. Then we'll fix Social Security, Medicare, and Healthcare.

This one's for you Steve when I saw it I thought of you and Don....

Wrong sign. Romney was not the right man. He never had a message that hit true with the voters. When we can find a candidate that does, we'll win. I believe in Republican principles.

Steve R. I have noticed some good response from you. I am/was a life long Republican. Voted for G W Bush twice. Regretted the second vote. Now I have voted for Obama twice. The reasons are many. The GOP has lost its way. maybe? Cooperate America and billionaires like the Koch brothers trying to buy my vote so they can dismantle the EPA, get Cooperate welfare, etc. The similarity of the Tea party wrapping itself in the flag and religion just like the KKK. The Funding of the Tea Party by the ultra rich, like Hitler being financed by the Krupp family. Scared by the radical right.
My stand as a life long republican was based on the conservative principles I liked, but I guess I was a liberal republican because progress comes from progressive movements. Progress only comes when the two parties work together and are willing to compromise for the good of the county. It scares me to see how radical both sides have become on certain issues. An example is all the talk about the constitution and the Founding Fathers. Well the Founding Fathers only allowed white male land owners to vote, allowed slavery, supported and promoted genocide of native Americans. Over the course of history in the US bounties were paid for Indian scalps, Chinese could not own property, appear in court or marry. My wife is Chinese and it was not until 1954 that was was legal in CA for me to marry her. CA and may other states performed forced sterilization of "undesirables" until WW2. Over 30,000 were sterilized in CA alone. We have the horrible history of the KKK. As late as the 1960's only about 6% of blacks could vote because of voter restriction laws. I could go on. Sorry for the long rant. The point I am attempting to make that liberal progressive changed all this. Complain about the EPA, but try breathing 1960 CA air compared to the air today. Look at you the car you drive and compare it to a car from the 60's in gas mileage, emissions, and reliability. We have came a long way with civil rights. Gays and atheist may in our life time achieve equal civil rights. I am a dreamer. When we have friends over at our house those guest include gays, atheists, Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, Republicans, Democrats, and unidentified. So what, we all get along. I am out of air. The end.

Thank you for this posting. My son (USAF, retired - Duty in Iraq, etc.) has two beautiful daughters adopted from Korea and China. They have the opportunity for a life here and I adore them, and am proud of my son and his wife.

It would seem that elfstop and jr1 are twins, no other explanation for either of them.

Mary, if more people could break out of the party cage and actually vote for a person they believed in rather than a face put up by a "party" this country would be far better off than it is now.
Anyone that is supported by one of the 2 major parties has been bought and sold so many times they can't remember what it was like to have an original thought.
