The next morning we had to leave, but we had time for the traditional sunrise shots. The last shot in this set showed me what I now focus on during sunrise shots.

Thanks, it was this shot that taught me that not only do you look behind, in sun shots, look to what is being illuminated.

These are fantastic, Mike!! As often as I go to and through Utah, I haven't seen Bryce Canyon or Zion in probably 20 years. Almost forgot about the RED sunsets there. I WILL stop in next time I'm anywhere near!! Thank you for sharing these!!

Thank you for your encouraging comments, Chief. Every time I go, it is different. It is now my practice to shoot the illuminated areas now when taking sunrise shots.
