How much do you think the performers are paid for the half-time show? How about zero? The NFL covers production costs, but it doesn't pay the artists. It's nice of them to work for free.

Yes, the "entertainment" was awful this year. To continue the trend, maybe next year the NFL should have Patrick Mahomes little brother as the headliner.

I wholeheartedly agree! I read the other day that this year’s halftime show had more FCC complaints than any other in history.

"Free" was about what the performance was worth, IMHO. Just like last year's "ode to Rap" this year's performer (poorly) lip-synced the song surrounded by about 50 dancers twerking and thrusting their groins in a suggestive manner while grabbing their genitals no doubt as an artistic expression to enhance similarly crude lyrics. When the old rockers like The Who and Springsteen did the half time show, they simply played great music without theatrics. And they did it live, too.
