Viewing question?

Use Adobe Photoshop as it seems to be the only software that allows me to see all of my images the same time working in Bridge on new shoots or editing existing ones.

I have Elements which seems to be a good program and Xfinity as well but neither gives me the editing ability to see all my files when editing so I seldom use them.

Are there programs besides Adobe Bridge that will show me all my images from a shoot at the same time?

I am also need a program to eliminate backgrounds. I have. several slides of a personality that I would like to eliminate the background that I want to send to one of my photo agencies.

Thanks in advance for UHH members that might help answer my question.

Photoshop or Elements are both very capable of eliminating backgrounds. Xfinity is a cable/internet provider. Did you mean Affinity?

You might want to check out PhotoMechanic, a program favored by professional sports shooters and photojournalists to ingest an entire shoot of photos, cull out the duds, and prepare them for final editing for tasks such as eliminating backgrounds.

Can you explain more what you mean by "all of your images"? And what do you mean by it don't show all the images? Which images are missing?

Same here...LR.

I do all of my culling right there...and exporting...saving copies to multiple drives...all LR.

Tried Photo Mechanic software...very good...but meh...LR does it almost as well.

So unless you are going through many thousands at a sitting ( I pity you )...no need for PM.

PM...Popular Mechanics... I miss that mag (digression).

And edits leave the original untouched, so you can go back and change the way you edited starting at some point of your choosing. Or you can start over from the original with a new line of edits.

Good point. If I were to place all the images in my Lightroom catalog on my screen, each image would cover about 50 pixels, not nearly enough to make out details. And not all my images are in my Lightroom catalog. And the aspect ratio of my images varies widely.

You can use a free program called Xnview or one of those more expensive ones. I personally still prefer to use Bridge even though I left Adobe years ago. Bridge is free to download and can be set to open any file type with any editing software in the preferences. All you need is a Creative Cloud account.

Thanks for your helpful comments, I wrote the wrong name for my Affinity program so correct it here. I never developed the habit of using Lightroom. I should take another look at it. I didn't know Bridge was a free download so will check that out. I am happy with Bridge in my paid Adobe subscription but wanted to see what other options I might want to try,

UHH is such a great site.

Thanks.

However OP hasn’t answered my question and he seems happy with his workflow. So I’m un-watching this now.
