I am having problems with above printer.
It shows "Printer not responding" every time I want to uses it.
I have tried everything I know, like turning off the printer, pulling the power cable and pulling the cord from the usb, turning off windows. etc. but to no avail.
I have also update the driver.
Would certainly welcome any suggestion.
Thank you.

Call Canon at 800-652-2666. Their tech support is excellent. Very knowledgeable and polite employees.

First, Download the install package from the Canon USA website for your printer. Then, go to control panel (click the Windows symbol on the lower left corner of your screen, right click and choose “run” and then “control panel”’). Then, go to the printer and uninstall the printer. Also, under USB devices, delete/uninstall the USB entry for the printer. Then unplug the USB cable and run the installation application and plug in the USB cable when instructed. If that doesn’t work, call Canon Tech Support.

Does this happen when you try and print from an application? What happens if you try to print a nozzle check?

I had the same problem with my Pro-100 around the fifth year. I turned it off for two days, unplugged every cord (I never used wireless), turned off the computer for 24 hours (did email only on day two), and then connected all and turned it on. It worked for two more years.
My theory is that showing the system that you do not need it tricked it into submission, for a while.
I stopped fighting computers when I retired.
