Well .., there she is .. My take through my style of photography and editing of a beautiful Lady .. Just visiting her in Pearl Harbor gives you a sense of the history of the wars she was in and her closure at the end of WWII in Tokyo Bay .
Standing on the fantail and looking at the Arizona Memorial gives one goosebumps every time you visit ..
Thanks for looking ….
Beautiful rendering. One of your best IMHO. Thanks for sharing this.
Not exactly the prospective I would have taken but a beautiful shot and lovely presentation of a beautiful lady. It is, for me, sad to see the rust at the waterline and rust streaks on her in other locations.
The USS Missouri was the last Battleship ever built by the US. She served in the late stages of World War II, Korean War and later in the Gulf War. The Japanese surrender documents were signed on her deck on 2 September, 1945, officially ending World War II.
As a kid, I was born in 1943, World War II wasn't history to me but something real and immediate, my dad didn't come home until 1946. I built many models of the Missouri, Enterprise, various Cruisers and Destroyers and too many aircraft to count but Mighty Mo was always my favorite
Did anybody see Mighty Mo in the recent (?) movie “Battleship”?

Interesting and a good look back in time!
Great photo and I like the processing.
Beautiful image of a great dreadnaught. I was always impressed by that bow design -- uniquely beautiful and functional at the same time. A sight to see. Nothing else quite like it.
