Selling Old Gear
I know Adorama buys old gear. I also heard MPB does. Anyone know of any others? Who is best to sell old gear to?
Thanks in advance.

I've had great experiences with both MPB and KEH.
good luck

Why not try the classified section right here.
Some UHH members buy old gear too. They tend to be willing to pay a bit higher than MPB, KEH or B&H.
Resellers pay the least. They're buying at what used to be called the "blue book" value in used cars, the minimum wholesale price. Resellers also pay quickly, sometimes being an almost guaranteed buyer after you've exhausted other possible options to get paid more.
If you want to sell competitively against a large online reseller, just take their price for the same item for sale on their website and lower by say 25%. You're not offering a return policy or free shipping, right? At least your $75 listing will be price competitive against the same item for $100.
Better, I think, to include free shipping in your price, especially on eBay. You can almost always get a reasonable estimate of shipping costs for sales shipped to any US address, i.e., by using a USPS Priority Flat Rate box. Beware of offering international sales, as the shipping can be exorbitant.
In my experience many potential buyers have no realistic idea of what shipping should cost, so seeing a separately stated cost for shipping even under $15 is a turnoff.

If you go to Adorama or MPB, you will loose a lot of money. It is more convenient and if you have money to burn then go ahead.
I sell my equipment here or on Fred Miranda (small charge to list) or ebay (ebay will charge you about 10%)
I have sold on all three of these sites and pocket about 50-70% more selling it my self.
Again, do you have money to burn, trade in, if you like money in your pocket, sell it your self.

I agree FULLY with what Paul says here. I recently sold 2 EF lenses, a Canon 7D II and a Canon battery grip. I was able to make CONSIDERABLY more than what those resale companies offered AND STILL sell at a great price for the people who bought from me. And at a much better price than the resale companies offered.
A retailer will give you a decent price without waiting. I like eBay for the "excitement." Before offering the gear anywhere, look on eBay and see what your items have actually sold for. Run down the left column and click on "Sold items." That will give you an idea how much people were willing to pay.
Naturally, get prices from more than one place.
I have sold to KEH, MPB, B&H and on ebay. I start by checking what items actually sold for on ebay. After commissions and fees, you will get about 85% of the selling price. Then I check all the major companies. There are often wide disparities. One or more will often offer a surprisingly good price. I sold my 5D4 to B&H for what I thought was very fair. Some will give you more if you are trading in. This year, ebay will be sending 1099-K forms to anyone selling more than 600. a year.
I sold a couple of old point and shoot film cameras on ebay. Both sold quickly, one for much more than I expected.

The only reason to sell to the likes of KEH and/or MPB is convenience and low risk. For that, you should expect to see about 55%-60% of what they will sell the item for. I’ve sold and bought through eBay, Craigslist, UHH classified, KEH, and MPB. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Of the last two, MPB has consistently offered the most.
I sold a lens here to a fellow hogger, and I've sold dozens of items on eBay, including many cameras and lenses. If you go the eBay route, read up on ways to mitigate fraud. Scammers are all over eBay, but if you're careful, it's pretty safe.
Hunts Photo and KEH are my recommendations.
