Makes you wonder...
Yes, but at almost 95 my brain still works, and that makes it worth the struggle. ~Paul
My 95 year-old neighbor looks 75 and is still perky, alert, converses well, lives alone & takes care of her house & garden, drives around town. I asked what she does or doesn't do to be like this at 95. Basically she said no secrets of diet or exercise. Said she learned from her mother to take everything in stride, don't complain or stress out about every little thing; stay positive.
This SAT. I will turn 84 and due to a good wife, I don't feel the Honeymoon is over yet.
Between she and my Doctor I feel that I'm in great! shape. My dad went to 93. I am hoping that this is hereditary.
Too true. I remember near the end of life, my mother saying “it’s not good to live too long”. I would always respond “it’s better than the alternative” but I learned that’s not always true in all cases.
I became an octogenarian this month. There are some physical challenges, like getting up from the floor after looking for something I dropped. Or, more easily tripping over things and finding it’s harder to keep from falling. Or, being around a bunch of other old farts and joining the bitching about health issues. Or, sadly, attending funerals of peers. But, I can still fly airplanes, bowl twice a week, and lug my D850 around to continue to learn how to be a photographer. My brain works fine (not taking votes on that), I intend to enjoy what life remains.

Yes, the brain does seem to keep working, but I get the occasional scare when I see that old man looking back at me in the mirror.
