OK, I was not intending to take this shot. I was on a hike with a friend in Lake Woodruff NWR and carrying the camera along. I was not really out to take photos and was just snapping some quick shots of the flora and fauna, much of which I had never seen before. It was getting towards noon and a day that was cold at dawn was getting hot with a bright sun overhead. I had just taken a picture of an alligator and turned around and saw this egret settling into the marsh and I fired off a quick shot. My glance at the screen made me dismiss it as overexposed. When I got home and looked at it on the PC I had a different opinion. The water in the marsh looked more like ice or crystal and the effect turned out to not be unpleasing, at least to me. My question I guess, is does anyone else like this and what would you do to improve it?

Hi Joe,
Not too sure I would do anything with it. It's pretty neat as it is. Maybe a little crop and contrast but other wise I wouldn't bother.
I had a look at it in Photoshop, and a small adjustment of the highlights in levels and a slight increase of contrast made one hell of a difference. nice lucky shot, worth keeping. Ernie
It's been quite a while since I've logged in but thanks for responding. I've fiddled with it a bit and all I end up with is a bunch of images that all have their own charm. I suppose that I get stuck between the image I captured and the images I'm creating. It certainly didn't look quite like this, this looks more like ice than water, I'm thinking of making the borders red and green and making it a Christmas card.
