Jumpers from the Weekend

Made it back from a nice weekend of camping, boating and spider hunting. Spent 75% of my camera time looking for Jumping Spiders. I spent 2 hrs. each morning and each afternoon photographing, so about 6 hrs looking for these little guys. Fun and frustrating at the same time. Getting better with the eyes, but learning it's the direction of the flash that helps with the eyes. Much better at an angle, than head on. Makes sense now that I've viewed most of the results. With that said, we are sometimes limited to the direction to get the shot only because the spiders and bugs don't come out and pose for us. I found a fair share and here are a few. Don't have the energy to go thru all the files yet, hope to pull some more

Same here. Wow, some very nice shots. But especially #5. It looks like a real poser. :)

Very, very nice. Remind us what lens you are using, and your normal aperture.

Thanks Douglass, Straight up Tokina 100mm Macro Lens at f/20 for most of these guys. I like f/22 but having a tuff time with the light this weekend, overcast. Still an exposure nightmare, From white hair and metallic fangs that reflect light to dark browns and blacks that soak it up. I also use spot metering for all my macro.
