The silhouettes, the glow and backlighting are gorgeous! I'd let the sun go hot-white, though. It has a blue tint on my screen.

Thanks Linda, you’re right about the blue tint on the sun. I will give the hot-white a look. I am usually concerned with over blowing the sun. So I have a tendency to pull back on it.

Google "landscapes with sun in photo" and see how many stunning white-sun photos there are.

I remember my conversation with R.G. a couple of years ago, where I pointed out that if the air is clear and dry, the sun will always be white relative to the rest of the photo's exposure. Also, another time a member posted two shots, asking why one had a blown sun and one didn't. Both of his did; he just didn't see it because the sun was very small in the frame and there was orange around the white. Composition can aid if that's is a "worry." For me, it's nature and natural

Beautiful Frank. I was sucked right into the middle of the frame and never even noticed the sun. When I saw Linda's comments I looked and thought "so what". I guess I'll never be an art critic. Always remember, Google may not always be your enemy but it is never your friend

Don’t feel to bad. My eyes go there too.
And after all this time I never realized you are so philosophical.

Enjoyed this image. I like the hazy background and the leaf colors in the foreground. The sun didn't make a difference to me. Bev

Thanks Bev. It was towards the end of the fall season. So there was just a smattering of color left in the leaves. But it was the shadows is what caught my eye.
