The arrival of flies is a sure indication that Spring has arrived. The countdown has started with 30 days to go.
This is a focus-stacked image of a fly taken with a reversed 28mm enlarger lens mounted on a bellow as the optic for the camera.
I always equate spring when I see my first Robin. 😉 Fantastic photo btw.
Fantastic image! Ugly little fellow though.

Thanks, Flathead27ford. The returning robins are the best sign of spring.

Thanks, BassmanBruce. Some flies can be quite nasty.
Only you could make a fly face look good, Gary!

Thanks, UTMike. One of my specialties since retirement is catching flies for sessions where I preserve them. Of course, other flies get the Ol' Swat treatment.

Outstanding, sippy.
Kpmac, thanks for viewing and for the feedback.
Beautiful Sippy, I saw a butterfly today on our walk
Great photo as usual from the Sippy Photo Museum gallery. Hum, bet it would not be popular compared to a show focused on flowers!! People would have nightmares after spending the day with 1001 insect face photos. Sippy, your fly friend reminds me of a character in the original Dune movie.
