I had my older Canon 7D Mk II converted to infrared via www.lifepixel.com
I am having problems with editing and need some help please. It's very easy to manipulate color. Are there any acceptable "rules" for final .jpgs? I've attached some images recently taken.

Unique! If you ask me, whatever works for you is good enough because I like what you have.

Your joking of course... you can teach us a few things!!
Suggest you repost in the new IR section and give a few details on how you achieved such great results.

OMHO, it’s all about white balance and what you do when it’s set. You’re doing a nice job. Well done!

IR is *the* no-rule photographic medium, as you've demonstrated. Keep up the good work!

I'm not really sure what kind of help you're asking for. These images look extremely creative assuming that's what your creative intent was. There is a budding section for IR photography that could give you more help than what I'm likely to give you here. Additionally, there's many many tutorials on IR photography on youtube.

You being the artist, there are no 'rules' other than what you want to do.

However, there are some 'common practices' in processing raw IR images. One is converting from color directly to B&W. B&W converted IR images results in some very unique and interesting images, such as foilage usually converted to white and in many cases dark skies.

Another 'common practice', which you may have done in one of your images, is to swap the red and blue channels. This changes the raw red sky back to a blue sky. The white balancing and other editing can go from there.

Attached are some quick examples based on a couple of your images.

Hope this helps. If your far beyond this level, then please pardon my ignorance.

The last two make me think of what you might see on another planet. You could make some really great images to go along with some science fiction outer space book or movie. You have real talent!

You went all in, that is the more aggressive conversion, hyper color. 720 and 610 (or was is 620Nm) are my two cameras. Jump on facebook and join a group or two of Infrared and scroll, read and learn.

i appreciate the feedback. Some suggested that the edits are open to artistic approaches. So I am going to be bold. Here are some more taken this weekend

When I got my camera converted, the man that did it said that the white balance should be set to grass in sunlight.
You should use raw, and the best place for learning IR is Rob Shea. He has quite a few actions on his site, and they work great.
