Two nice captures. Getting those eggs fertilized before they are laid ensures eggs will hatch.

Thank you all for the kind words. This was extreme cropping…couldn’t get more reach or closer.
This is literally about a mile from the house, as the eagle flies, and they do come over to our lake to feed and to harass the herons (wait a few weeks).
Meanwhile, I’ve got a line on another nesting pair about 10 miles north, and super close so less cropping required.
