Fun Under the Stars

Had great intentions of shooting Comet C/2022 E3 again but it was under the hood of my observatory and by the time it cleared the hood clouds had rolled in.

While waiting I shot a few other targets.

Used a David Levy Comet Hunter (152mm Mak-Newt) scope with a Sony A7 III on an iOptron CEM26 mount.

The Crab Nebula and Jupiter were postprocessed in Topaz Gigapixel to increase their size by 2x and even then M1 was a tough target at a focal length of 730mm. I didn't quite catch that neutron star in M1; dang!

Enjoy!

Nice shots, I tried to see the green comet last night too but just couldn’t locate it with my naked eye and binoculars. I guess this one has passed me bye.

It's still out there and fairly bright. Right up beside Mars tonight.

Great shots. I really like the color in M42 and the Horsehead Nebula.
