Little photo foray before my exercise class the other day. Got a nice sunrise, and a shot of shadows receeding on the Oxfordshire Plain as the sun climbed above the Chilterns. But my favourite of the morning was this.
Various wisps of mist rolling and falling over The Chiltern Hills at Britwell Salome, Oxfordshire.
Just an aside - I sometimes like the look of an image so much that I'll try and find out more about where it was taken. Would others like to see some sort of location reference, and if so what to use? Here's a lat / long that'll work in Google Maps.

So many elements make this a great photo! Love the earth-tones, the starkness of the silhouettes and the softness of the mist. So 3-dimensional, going down the road & up the hill, even a hawk looking for its morning rodent.
Wow, John! You really nailed this one all the way around.

Having corresponded with a friend in England, John left out the word "Typical" in the title. She comments with glee when she sees the sun.
The photo tells the story well. One should not miss the ghost image of trees in the fog at the right, and the reflection of the central tree in the wet forward; details easily overlooked by glancing at the photo rather than perusing for detail. I very much like the touch of sepia toning. This photo tells a story well, good work John.
The judges at the Camera Club would have cut off 1/3 of the photo-left, saying "That which does not add detracts."
Interesting !
Google Earth took me to the Untied Kingdom and Britwell Salome.
Reminder maybe that its a small world sometimes.
Love it, unique and nice composition!
