Cornell has a free bird app that is really excellent. It's called "BIRD ID" and has a pic of a bird on it. You can upload from a library easily. The hawk Id can be toughies!

Perhaps it’s a juvenile sharp-shinned hawk. Check the end of the tail - not rounded like Cooper’s.
