i agree so as in one of my favorite movies Kelly's heros puts it oddball (donald sutherlind )states "were holdin ourselfs in reserve in casr the krauts mount an offensive against say paris or new york.... dont let the looks of the tanks fool you we like to look like weve been in heavy combat and are desperatley in need of rest" that will keep the miles off

A bit rough...but still restorable...:)
I always loved the sound of the Jeep...sounded like it was really flying down the road. That was due to the type of fan they used.
Great shots of an old work horse

That was before my time! I'm only 19 with 47 years of experience! Love the complete package!
I love the sound of Jeeps too. I had a girlfriend in highschool whose father fixed an old Jeep up for her -- painted it yellow with a yellow and white surrey top. We loved it -- crused all over town in that thing.

I drove an old military Jeep for a while on a peach and pear ranch when irrigating. I loved to get it in 4 wheel drive and have a bit of fun...:)
Sounds like we both have fond memories!

I also have very fond memories of a 1921 Model T Ford my dad and I built when I was a senior in high school... Unfortunately I only have one black and white photo of it. Over the years the rest have gotten lost or destroyed by the elements...
My dad owned an auto wrecking yard and old Ford parts store for 30 years... He specialized in Model T, A, and V-8 parts through the early '60's...
1921 Model T Ford Speedster
that is so great! and love the memories of you and your dad rebuilding the ford. Lucky you ! hope you have that photo framed .
