Take The Picture!

My students often say things like "I didn't take the picture because I didn't have time to change the settings." In the digital age, the correct answer is to always, always take the shot!

This yellow-rumped warbler image is far from perfect, even a bit out of focus, but it has drama. Too often, technically perfect shots are boring. They lack the ability to capture the "feel" of the moment. So, don't question if you should, just push the damn button!

I agree. This, often is the case.

Photography is about Life's Moments, IMHO - and an eye catching shot of yours ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been saying that for years, "First take the shot". In the digital age where cost per shot is affectively $0.00 what have you got to loose? When shooting wildlife that first "snap shot" often is the only one you are going to get.

I don't know that I would call it a nice shot. But it didn't cost a penny so "take the shot"! When taking BIFs especially, often the first shot only gets me on the subject, then subsequent shots improve, having given the camera time to meter and focus.
