Actually, my wife's sister nursed a fellow who had served there during the war and asked that during a visit to Normandy we should bring back a picture for him. It's a pity I don't remember the name and other details

Pat and Hoggers,
This was a great challenge. I'm going to be looking at things a bit differently. I've always been an asymmetrical person in just about everything I do but the symmetrical perspective is obviously worth considering (as demonstrated by all you hoggers pictures in this challenge.
