Beautiful colors indeed!

Here in "sunny" California we are awaiting the arrival of yet more much needed rain and snow. It is supposed to rain tomorrow.

In the meantime, here is a photo from Lake Lundy located in the Sierra Nevada mountains just north of the little town of Lee Vining on US Route 395. Lake Lundy is not too far from the turnoff to Bodie Ghost Town which is a wonderful photo opportunity in fair weather.

While getting ready for the upcoming challenge, I had most of the gear out, so decided I would try capturing some smoke pix. I like to try because they are challenging.

I like Larry's idea of bringing thoughts of spring and warmth. Thought I would just stay with iris's. All from Missouri.

Lovely irises - my grandparents raised them for sale back in the day.

Here’s a few that I’ve worked on recently. Not sure if there are any repeats. The first is Mistaya Canyon, two from Luray Caverns, Shoshone Falls, the ridge from Theodore Roosevelt Natl Park, two night shots of Cloud-gate with the Chicago skyline reflected from the surface and canon balls from Theodore Roosevelt National Park
