I caught a father and son tandem surfing 150 yards off Waikiki at what surfers call the “Bowls” using a tripoded D7200 and a 200-500mm 5.6 . When It posted to local tv here on the Islands , a friend and fellow surfer of the man in the picture told him about it . That friend knows me and contacted me to get the shot to the father and son , via email .. I got the shot to them and believe me it made their day .., It made my day doing it ..

I have to agree NMGirl. What would happen if they fell off and dad got whacked in the head with the surf board? So, maybe not as cool as I previously stated.
