Idea for quick package delivery (joke for Chit-Chat)
What if the package delivery services repurposed some of the retired (Mach 3 +) SR-71s
NOTE: Not my creation... someone else faked this one
It would take a long time. Take off and landing take time as well as find a runway long enough to land.

Don’t forget the tanker for refueling or it will flame out shortly after takeoff.

"Faked"? Darn! I thought it was for real. I ordered an item from England on Monday, and it didn't arrive until Thursday!!! How can it take so long? 🤣

The time it took related to the time it takes to transport your purchase from the factory to Heathrow and then from JFK to your house.

We just lengthened our backyard landing strip to accommodate these.

Good morning Killroy,
I love it!

My experience is that the first few miles and the last few miles take the longest.

Yes usually it would take a day for me to get something after it arrived at either UPS or FedEx hub a few miles from my house.
If you try really, really hard, you might be able to come up with a more expensive delivery option.

Not sure you can get their exotic fuel any more, and ongoing maintenance was pretty intense. Plus, all your tools had to be forged from magnesium (I think it was) free steel or you risked the plane catching fire in flight from traces ofl magnesium in screw slots. Those tools are hard to get these days, and even when they were available a tool box full of 'em made a $600 toilet seat look like a bargain. And of course you need to have and maintain the space suits the crew have to wear, and the people to help the crew get dressed and undressed in 'em to avoid damage. And . . . There's a reason they were retired.
But if you could put together a working plane and support package, you only need a standard 12,000 foot runway for one, like a B-52 uses. (I learned to fly at an aero club that shared the runway with Buffs and SRs - but the tower kept our Cessna 150s pretty far away from the big boys if they were moving.)
